The hot stones melt away the knots in your muscles, stresses and connective tissues which results in deep relaxation and a calm feeling throughout the body.  Your therapist may hold heated stones as they use Swedish massage techniques such as long strokes, circular movements, vibration, tapping and kneading.  You may feel sleepy afterwards, as you have released endorphins. Levels of stress will reduce alongside hormones such as adrenalin, cortisol and norepinephrine.
