Massi Moura – Technical Director

Massi is the new generation of Moura who is taking RMUK into the 21st century, with a passion for flawless customer service and creative colour. Professionally, Massi holds a Loreal Colour Specialist accreditation and is regarded as a Wella Master Colour Specialist, which means he knows everything you need to know about colour. From natural babylights and authentic balayage to bright pastels, Massi has clients from across the globe who are exclusively coloured by him. Starting in the industry at the tender age of 9, Massi has continued his father's legacy in hairdressing, with a flair for colouring and staying ahead of the curve. Although not originally looking to follow in Roberto's footsteps, Massi has always excelled in the creative arts, classically trained at art college before embarking on his professional career. From winning design & innovation awards such as the trophy design of the Leeds United Player of The Year Awards, Think Pink packaging, BT Design Awards & Investors in People, Massi has continued to implement new technology and techniques at the salon. Most notably, the interior design of the salon itself, including bespoke PPE measures which are in-keeping with the vibe of RMUK. Massi has always been at the forefront of keeping the salon ahead of the curve, even at the age of 14, he was leading the RMUK team and attending business courses, learning the ins and outs of the industry and driving the business forward. This has stood him in good stead for the changing trends of the industry and understanding the experiential side of the business - something which sets the salon apart.


Alongside crafting a successful business model for RMUK, Massi notes his greatest achievement as winning the 2015 Colour Trophy award with his wife Michelle. Massi & Michelle took home the trophy for the North East and were also awarded British second place, beating over 3,000 entries. Awards and skill development is at the forefront of Massi's plans for the RMUK team, with many of his Training Academy students going on to enter acclaimed competitions and become specialists in their field. The RMUK Training Academy has been a sought after programme for Hairdressing Apprentices since the 80s, and continues to offer world-class training from the Leeds City Centre Salon. Massi has seen a shortage of young people exploring vocational professions, but he is changing the tide by mentoring at Schools and Colleges to enthuse the next generation of hair stylists. This, paired with offering courses for further development of stylists, Massi hopes to ignite passion in young people who are vocationally skilled.When Massi isn't revolutionising the hair world or colouring his many clients, he enjoys adventure-led travel (he's swam with sharks) as well as spending important time with his wife Michelle and young daughter Olivia.
